How to clear the cache in Internet Explorer 9 in Windows 7
Internet Explorer 9 stores web pages that you have visited, along with the images, etc. to reduce the re-loading time on your subsequent visits. However, since the cache will record the web page as it was displayed at a particular time, it will not record any modification or enhancement done on the web page thereafter. This can be a challenge especially if you have to view the modified version (current); by default the cache will only load the webpage till before the modification. In order to load the webpage along with the modifications, you will have to clear the cache to erase the webpage from the browser’s memory and try reloading the same. This isn’t just typical to Internet Explorer 9; all web browsers have this facility.
To clear the cache in Internet Explorer 9 in your Windows 7 PC, here is what you can do:
1. Open Internet Explorer 9
2. Click on the ‘Tools’ menu at the top of the page and select 'Internet Options'
3. In the General tab, click on the ‘Delete’ button in the ‘Browsing History’ section
4. A new window will now pop up. Select the checkbox next to ‘Temporary Internet Files’ only and then click on the ‘Delete’ button
5. Click on ‘OK’ to close the 'Internet Options' window
After you have cleared the cache, you can restart the web browser and continue with your browsing session. Keep the above mentioned steps handy as you can regularly use it to clear the cache and enjoy viewing your favorite websites and web pages in their latest form.
