Google has declared that its public DNS is capable of handling 70 billion requests on daily basis

In December 2009, Google took an initiative to compile all the Internet addresses to make a powerful DNS. Basically, a DNS is a storehouse on the Internet which comprises of all the web addresses. When a browser looks for a website, the domain server instantly reverts back the web address. Google had a vision to design the largest DNS on the Internet. The project began and went into several types of trial phases. After a long time, Google has completed all the phases and presently Google public DNS can react to 70 billion user requests and that too in one day. At one time, it was a big challenge to capture countless websites and sort them on the basis of Internet protocols. However, the task of improving the performance of Internet has been achieved in the end.
Jeremy K. Chen, software engineer for Google Public DNS said, “If you had to look up hundreds or thousands of phone numbers every day, you’d want a directory that was fast, secure and correct.” And Google has managed to transform the search criteria and the search engine can very well reply several users not just from the U.S. but users from North America, Europe and Asia. If you are interested in using Google Public DNS on your computer then you can simply make some adjustments within your network and connect your modem with Google’s IP address.
